Fooq’s is an eclectic, vibe-driven eatery located in the heart of Downtown Miami serving “Feel Good Food.”

The concept was created by restaurateur and two-time Michelin star recipient, David Foulquier, to bring a new definition of comfort food to the table. This year, Fooq’s has focused on showcasing new and exciting pop-up concepts, and is now proud to present you with Da Lida, a relaxed pasta bar specializing in traditional Italian dishes alongside a focused collection of wine. In this contemporary trattoria, the rotating menus incorporate the freshest seasonal produce with choices in antipasti and pasta, accented with fine Italian olive oils and fresh herbs.

A Forbes 30 Under 30 recipient, and semifinalist of Zagat’s National 30 under 30 Awards, David Foulquier is a 30-year-old restaurateur based in Miami, Florida.

World travels and a passion for hospitality inspired Foulquier’s vibe-driven Miami concept, Fooq’s, which opened in 2015 and offers exotic fare in a cozy setting.  An innate gourmand of Persian-French heritage, Foulquier filled a much-needed void in the Magic City with a foodie-haven of globally inspired ‘Feel Good Food.’ The Persian/Mediterranean cuisine at Fooq’s continues to evolve, showcasing some of Foulquier’s family recipes, and elevating them using the best local products available. Fooq’s’ well-curated low intervention wine and champagne list also shows Foulquier’s skills as a sommelier.

An FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality Alum, in the early days of his hospitality career Foulquier held positions in several acclaimed fine-dining restaurants such as Manhattan’s, Daniel, and culinary education center, Restaurate Hoffman, in Barcelona. Foulquier later went on to complete a course as a certified Sushi Chef from the Tokyo Sushi Academy, a venture that eventually led to the launch of his second restaurant concept, Sushi Noz, which opened in New York’s Upper East Side in early 2018. Sushi Noz offers an 8 seat Edomae Style Omakase experience and has earned a Michelin star for two consecutive years.
