Our dynamic group includes Michelin Star locations Sushi Noz and Noz 17 & Noz Market Omakase restaurants and Chez Fifi, a French bistro with Basque influence on the Upper East Side of NYC. About the role
Service Assistants play a key supporting role in creating an exceptional dining experience by ensuring the cleanliness, flow, and readiness of the dining room. Bussers are responsible for resetting tables, assisting servers, maintaining cleanliness throughout the guest areas, and providing warm, helpful interactions that reflect our sense of care and hospitality.
Responsibilities:
Promptly clear and reset tables to ensure efficient table turns and guest readiness
Support servers and runners by delivering water, bread, condiments, and other service needs’
Maintain a clean and organized dining room, including floors, service stations, and public areas
Assist in restocking supplies such as silverware, glassware, napkins, and water stations
Monitor guest needs and assist with clearing used plates or items between courses as appropriate
Ensure all tables are set properly and ready for new guests in alignment with brand standards
Support opening and closing responsibilities, including setup and breakdown of the dining area
Communicate clearly with the FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth, coordinated service
Follow all health and safety regulations and cleanliness protocols
Exhibit a helpful, approachable demeanor with guests and team members at all times
Qualifications:
Prior experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting preferred but not required
Excellent work ethic and positive team attitude
Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Must be fluent in English
Comfort in a high-volume/fast-paced environment
Flexible schedule with weekend/holiday availability
Physical Requirements:
Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability, and visual acuity.
Ability to lift and carry items weighing 35 pounds on a regular basis.
Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Moving about on foot to accomplish tasks, particularly frequent movements from place to place within the property. Bend, lift, carry, reach/extend arms, and hands above shoulder height frequently, or otherwise move in a constantly changing environment.
Climbing steps regularly.
